Recipe for Fettuccine Pasta with Steak Slices and Creamy Sauce
Ingredients:
For the pasta:
250 g fettuccine pasta.
1 tsp salt.
Water for boiling.
1 tsp olive oil.
For the steak slices:
300 g steak slices.
1 tsp salt.
1 tsp black pepper.
1 tsp garlic powder.
2 tbsp butter.
1 tbsp olive oil.
For the creamy sauce:
1 cup cooking cream.
2 garlic cloves, minced.
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese.
A pinch of nutmeg.
1 tsp dried thyme.
Salt and pepper to taste.
1 tsp mustard (optional).
For garnishing:
Chopped parsley.
Additional Parmesan cheese.
Instructions:
1. Prepare the pasta:
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and olive oil.
Cook the pasta for 8-10 minutes or until al dente.
Drain and set aside, keeping it warm.
2. Prepare the steak slices:
Season the steak slices with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the steak slices for 3-4 minutes on each side (depending on thickness) until browned and cooked to your liking.
Remove the steak from the skillet and cover with foil to rest.
3. Prepare the creamy sauce:
In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute.
Add the cooking cream while stirring continuously. Then, add nutmeg and thyme.
Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until it melts completely.
Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and mustard if desired.
Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
4. Assemble the dish:
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until fully coated.
Serve the pasta on a plate and top it with the steak slices.
5. Garnishing:
Garnish with chopped parsley and sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese on top.
Additional Enhancements:
Add spinach: Sauté 1 cup of spinach with garlic before adding the cream.
Smoky flavor: Add a pinch of smoked paprika to the sauce.
Mushroom slices: Sauté mushroom slices in butter and include them in the sauce for extra flavor.
