 Crispy Herb-Crusted Potato Slices Recipe

           Ingredients:

4-5 medium-sized potatoes

3 tablespoons melted butter

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

Salt to taste

Freshly ground black pepper

Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

        Preparation Method:

1. Preparing the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes (optional) and wash them thoroughly.

Slice the potatoes into thin slices while keeping them intact (do not cut all the way through).

To prevent cutting through, place a wooden skewer next to the potato while slicing.

2. The Marinade

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and olive oil with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped herbs.

3. Baking

Place the sliced potatoes on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Use a brush to apply the marinade between the slices and on top of the potatoes.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 50-60 minutes or until the potatoes are golden and crispy.

During baking, brush the potatoes with more marinade for deeper flavor.

4. Final Touches

Just before serving, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on the potatoes and return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts.

Garnish with more fresh herbs for an attractive presentation.

     Additional Tips:

Add a pinch of smoked paprika for a richer flavor.

Use browned butter instead of regular butter for enhanced taste.

Serve with a side sauce like garlic yogurt or cream sauce for extra flavor
