Jambalaya: The Signature Dish of Louisiana
Jambalaya is a famous dish from Louisiana that reflects the cultural diversity of the region, influenced by French, Spanish, and Creole cuisine. This dish resembles the Spanish paella and is based on rice, mixed with a variety of meats, seafood, and spices.
Ingredients for Jambalaya:

9.Diced tomatoes - 1 can (around 400g)
10. Chicken broth - 4 cups
11.Cajun seasoning - 2 teaspoons
12.Bay leaves - 2
13. Salt and pepper - to taste
14. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Preparation Method:
1. Prepare the chicken and sausage: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Brown the chicken pieces until slightly golden, then add the smoked sausage and cook for a few more minutes.
2. Add the vegetables: Add the onions, celery, and bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened slightly.
3. Add spices and tomatoes: Stir in garlic, diced tomatoes, Cajun seasoning, and bay leaves. Mix the ingredients well.
4. Cook the rice: Add the rice and chicken broth to the mixture and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and absorbs the broth.
5. Add the shrimp: Five minutes before finishing, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
6. Serve: Once everything is fully cooked, remove the bay leaves and serve the jambalaya hot.
