8. Garlic - 3 cloves, minced

9.Diced tomatoes - 1 can (around 400g)

10. Chicken broth - 4 cups

11.Cajun seasoning - 2 teaspoons

12.Bay leaves - 2

13. Salt and pepper - to taste

14. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

Preparation Method:

1. Prepare the chicken and sausage: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Brown the chicken pieces until slightly golden, then add the smoked sausage and cook for a few more minutes.

6. Serve: Once everything is fully cooked, remove the bay leaves and serve the jambalaya hot.

### History of Jambalaya:

Jambalaya originated in Louisiana during the 18th century as a result of the fusion between Spanish, French, and Creole cultures. It is said that Spanish settlers tried to replicate their famous paella using local ingredients, which led to the creation of this unique dish that has become a staple in Louisiana’s traditional cuisine.
