 Chicken Steak with Mushrooms, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans Recipe


     Ingredients:

For the Chicken Steak with Mushrooms:


2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

200 grams fresh mushrooms, sliced

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup chicken broth or cooking cream

1 teaspoon soy sauce (for a unique flavor)

Chopped parsley for garnish


        For the Mashed Potatoes:


2 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup warm milk

Salt and black pepper to taste

A pinch of nutmeg (optional)


     For the Green Beans:


200 grams fresh green beans, washed and trimmed

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

Minced garlic (optional)



        Preparation:


1. Preparing the Chicken Steak with Mushrooms:


1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder on both sides.


2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 

Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.


3. Transfer the chicken to a side plate and cover to keep warm.


4. In the same skillet, add butter and the sliced mushrooms, stirring until they turn golden and release their juices.


5. Add chicken broth or cooking cream, then soy sauce, and let the mixture simmer until it thickens slightly.


6. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the sauce for about a minute to absorb the flavors.


2. Preparing the Mashed Potatoes:


1. In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the potatoes until tender (about 15 minutes).


2. Drain the potatoes, return them to the pot, and add butter and warm milk, mashing until smooth.


3. Add salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if desired, and mix well.


3. Preparing the Green Beans:


1. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and add the green beans.


2. Sauté the beans for 5-7 minutes until tender yet crisp. Add the minced garlic in the last minute for extra flavor.


3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.



        Serving:


1. Place the chicken steak in the center of the plate and pour the mushroom sauce over it.


2. Add a side of mashed potatoes, garnishing with chopped parsley or basil leaves.


3. Arrange the green beans alongside the chicken steak.




Enhancements to Make the Dish More Visually Appealing:


For added color: Garnish the plate with fresh parsley or basil leaves and thin slices of lemon.
