The Anonymous Letter

            "The Anonymous Letter"

On a quiet evening, Laila sat sipping her coffee on the balcony, gazing at the distant horizon, while her husband, Samer, was in the next room, engrossed in his phone.

For some time, she had felt that something was off with him—his behavior had changed, he was more preoccupied, and he showed less interest in her.

That day, while cleaning the house, she found a small envelope hidden between the folds of his shirt.

Her heart pounded as she carefully opened it and read the message, written in elegant feminine handwriting:

"I miss you every day. I can't wait for our next moment together... Forever, your love."

Her hands trembled, and the paper slipped from her fingers.

It felt as if her world had crumbled around her. She tried to compose herself, but she couldn't stop her tears from falling.

She didn't confront him right away; instead, she decided to watch him.

She noticed how he made excuses to be away for hours and how he kept his phone hidden from her.

One day, when he claimed to have a work meeting, she followed him.

She saw him enter an upscale café, where a beautiful woman sat across from him.

He smiled at her in a way Laila hadn't seen in years.

She stood there for a moment, then walked in quietly and sat at a nearby table.

She waited for the right moment, then got up and approached them.

When her eyes met his, she saw the panic in them.

She placed the envelope in front of him and said in a steady voice:

"You forgot this at home. I thought you might need it."

Then she turned and walked away, leaving behind a man who had lost everything—and a woman who realized she had been living a lie.
