How to Prepare Beef or Lamb with Potatoes, Onions, Garlic, and Delicious Broth
Ingredients
500g beef or lamb (cut into medium pieces)
3 large potatoes (cut into medium cubes)
2 large onions (cut into thin slices)
4 garlic cloves (crushed)
3 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
2 tablespoons tomato paste (optional)
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/2 teaspoon paprika (sweet red pepper)
Salt to taste
2 cups hot water (or more as needed)
A small handful of coriander and parsley (chopped)
Preparation Steps
1. Preparing the Meat
1. In a deep pot over medium heat, heat the oil and add the meat pieces. Stir them well until browned on all sides.
2. Add onions and crushed garlic to the meat. Stir until the onions become soft and translucent.
3. Add turmeric, ginger, black pepper, paprika, cinnamon, and salt.
Mix the spices with the meat thoroughly and let them cook for 5 minutes so the meat absorbs the flavors.

1. Add hot water to the pot until it covers the meat.
2. Cover the pot and let it cook over medium-low heat for 45 to 60 minutes, checking the water level occasionally. Add more water if necessary.
