 Golden Mashed Potato Bread with Eggs (No Flour): A Delicious and Easy Recipe


             -Ingredients:

4 medium-sized potatoes

2 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

½ cup grated cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella, optional)

2 tablespoons olive oil or butter for frying

Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)


     

                    -Method:

1. Prepare the potatoes: Start by washing the potatoes well under running water. Peel them and cut them into small pieces to ensure they cook quickly and evenly. Place them in a large pot filled with boiling water and a pinch of salt. Let the potatoes boil for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they become soft and easy to mash with a fork.


2. Mash the potatoes: After boiling the potatoes, drain them completely from the water and let them cool slightly for about 5 minutes. Then, using a fork or potato masher, mash the potatoes until they are smooth and free of lumps.


3. Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, add the mashed potatoes. Add the two eggs and mix well until the mixture is well combined. Then add the salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder if you prefer a garlic flavor. If you want a richer flavor, you can add the grated cheese at this stage and mix it into the mixture.


4. Form the patties: After mixing the ingredients well, divide the mixture into equal-sized balls. Gently press each ball to form medium-thickness patties. Make sure the patties are not too thin to prevent them from falling apart during frying.


5. Frying: Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the patties in the skillet, ensuring enough space between them. Fry each patty for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden and crispy. If necessary, you can add more oil during frying.


6. Serving: Once the patties are golden on both sides, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil. You can garnish the bread with chopped parsley to add a fresh flavor.



              :Tips

You can serve the potato bread with garlic yogurt sauce or tomato sauce.

If you prefer a spicy flavor, you can add a pinch of crushed red pepper to the mixture.

Unfried patties can be stored in the refrigerator for a day or two, ready to fry when needed.
