 Irish Beef Stew Recipe



                  Ingredients:

   -500 grams of beef.  (cut into cubes)

    - 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

     - 1 large onion.  (chopped)

     -3 cloves of garlic.  (minced)

     - 2 carrots.  (sliced)

     - 3 potatoes.  (peeled and cubed)

    - 1 cup of celery.  (chopped)

    - 2 cups of beef broth.  or water

    - 2 tablespoons of tomato past 

- 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary

    - 1 teaspoon of dried thyme

   - Salt and black pepper to taste

   - 1 bay leaf

   - 1 cup of peas.  (optional)

    

         Instructions:

1. Brown the beef:   Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides.

2. Add vegetables:   Add the onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until the onion is translucent.

3. Add other ingredients:   Stir in the carrots, potatoes, celery, tomato paste, rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.

4.  Add broth:   Pour in the beef broth or water and bring to a boil.

5.  Simmer:   Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours or until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked. You can add the peas in the last 10 minutes of cooking.

6.  Serve:   Serve the stew hot.
