 One of the most famous Indian dishes that has gained widespread popularity in the United States is. Chicken Tikka Masala. . This recipe reflects a mix of Indian flavors that have been adapted to suit global tastes. Although it has Indian roots, it is believed that this dish was created or modified to cater to Western restaurants, particularly in the UK, and has since become popular in the US.


              - Ingredients:

- 500 grams of chicken breasts, cut into cubes

- 1/2 cup plain yogurt

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 1 large onion, chopped

- 3 garlic cloves, minced

- 1 teaspoon ground ginger

- 1 teaspoon ground cumin

- 1 teaspoon turmeric

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)

- 400 grams canned tomatoes (chopped)

- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Fresh cilantro for garnish



            - Preparation:

1. Marinating the Chicken :

   - In a large bowl, mix the yogurt with lemon juice, cumin, turmeric, paprika, ginger, and garlic. Add the chicken cubes to the mixture and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2-3 hours).


2. Cooking the Chicken :

   - In a large pan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the marinated chicken cubes and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.


3.  Preparing the Sauce :

   - In the same pan, add the remaining oil and cook the onions until translucent. Add garlic and ginger and cook for an additional minute.

   - Add turmeric, cumin, coriander, and paprika, then the canned tomatoes. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.


4.  Adding Cream and Chicken :

   - Stir in the heavy cream and mix well. Return the chicken to the pan and let it simmer in the sauce for another 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.




5.  Serving :

   - Serve the Chicken Tikka Masala with basmati rice or naan bread, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
