 Mojito is a refreshing cocktail known for its mint and lime flavor, and it is a classic choice in the world of cocktails. Here’s how to prepare it and its ingredients:


                           Ingredients

- 50 ml white rum٨

- 25 ml fresh lime juice

- 10 mint leaves

- 2 teaspoons sugar (or to taste)

- Sparkling water (or soda)

- Ice (optional)

- Lime slices (for garnish, optional)



                            Preparation:

1. Prepare the Mint : In a tall glass, place the mint leaves and sugar. Use a muddler to gently crush the mint with the sugar to release the oils and flavors.

2. Add Lime Juice  : Add the lime juice to the mixture and stir well.

3. Add the Rum  : Pour the rum into the glass and mix it with the other ingredients.

4. Ice and Sparkling Water : Fill the glass with ice and top off with sparkling water.

5. Garnish : Garnish with lime slices if desired, and stir gently before serving.



                        History and Origin

The Mojito has its origins in Cuba and is believed to have been made for centuries. The early version of the Mojito was made with a mix of rum, mint, and lime juice and was used as a medicinal drink. It was originally known as "El Draque," named after the English captain Francis Drake. In the early 20th century, the drink evolved into the modern version we know today.
